Every woman’s body is different. So every woman will have different symptoms of menopause. Most of the symptoms you experience will be due to less estrogen your body produces at this stage in your life. Symptoms common for menopause include:

- Lowered sex drive;
- Changes in your period such as spotting, heavy bleeding, your period lasting more than a week or periods happening close together;
- Hot flashes;
- Moodiness and irritability;
- Vaginal dryness;
- Vaginal or urinary infections;
- Body changes such as a larger waistline, loss of muscle and fat, joint stiffness and muscle aches;
How To Manage Your Menopause
For managing menopause, you might adopt a healthy lifestyle with a diet that is low in fats and with high fiber. You also will need to add more calcium and vitamin D in your diet to fight off osteoporosis and heart disease that can happen when women go through menopause.
In addition to a healthy diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and vitamin supplements, you need to exercise and stay physically active with weight-bearing exercise. Your doctor may also prescribe medication for any other health problems you have.
Ensure that you get your yearly pelvic exam, Pap smear test, breast examination, and mammograms. With thorough medical examinations, you will have a happy and healthy life with menopause.
